CAYA Homeless Ministries

We will be holding our Christmas Party this year at Post 9223 VFW.  We will have a full Christmas Meal with all the trimmings! If you would like to help, or come have Christmas with us just let us know! December 10, 2011 beginning at 11:00 and ending at 2:00. Santa will be there to give toys to the children and there will be gifts for the Homeless Community as well.

Each year, we are somehow able to bless over 500 children with new toys. This year, as you know, the economy has not been very kind to families.  We expect the need to rise drastically.

If you would like to help us, we can use new unwrapped toys, (all ages), new Tshirts, socks, shoes,  underwear for men and women, toiletries, razors, tents, blankets and sleeping bags.

With the help of Pets of the Homeless, we are arranging a Mobile Vet Unit for the Homeless Pets to get their much needed help.  We will have free spay and neutering, shots, deworming, flea and tick remedies as well.  More information will be posted on Facebook under "friends of CAYA"

We will have approximately 150 turkeys donated from Morongo Band of Mission Indians this year. We will be distributing this generous donation just before Thanksgiving. If you have a need, please contact us to get on the list.  Thank you once again, Morongo Band of Mission Indians!!

So many of the men and women that are living on the streets have served in the United States Military.  They deserve so much more then to be living in encampments and digging through the garbage to make money.  Please, consider making a donation towards helping our Homeless Veterans. We are working hard and we ARE making a difference! Several of our Veterans have been reunited with families that love them.

We will be cooking the Thanksgiving Meals and "assembling" them for delivery.  If you would like to help cook, clean, deliver, donate or help in ANY way, contact us so we can fit you in! We can use To Go Containers, plastic ware, stuffing mixes, and any dry goods you can think of for a Home made Thanksgiving Meal.
